Top price 9,500gns Spittalton Rambler

at Stirlings second sale
At United Auctions in Stirling
on Monday the 2 nd May
2022, 30 bulls achieved an
average of £5,096, £455 up on 2021.
The sale saw notable support from
commercial buyers with the majority
of the bulls going to commercial
homes.
Top price for the day was 9,500gns
for Spittalton Rambler, brought
forward by Mr J Burnett and Sons,
Stirling. Rambler is sired by Dlyans
Irnbru and out of the homebred
cow Spittalton Lil. With a myostatin
of F94L/Q204X and a Beef Value of
LM39 Rambler went to W Steel and
Co, Lanark.
The overall champion also came from
the Spittalton herd Spittalton Robroy
reached 6,000gns. He boasts a Beef
Value of LM42 placing him in the
Overall champion Spittalton Robroy 6,000gns
top 10% of the breed and exhibits
F94L/Q204X myostatin. He is sired
by Burnbank Judge and is out of
the homebred cow Spittalton Hilary.
This September 2020-born bull went
home to M Dykes, Ayrshire.
