50 th Anniversary Sale
Events moved through to the Anniversary Sale. This saw
a special group of animals and bloodlines on offer, preselected
by auctioneers Harrison and Hetherington.
In a fitting tribute to the late David Thomlinson, H&H
unveiled a plaque on the eve of the sale renaming
Sale Ring 3 as ‘Ring 3 The David Thomlinson Ring’.
Commenting, Craig Ridley, the Society’s Honorary
President said “David was an integral part of our Society
and is greatly missed by everyone. He was an inspiration
to many and was always happy to help and support in
any way he could. It is a great honour to be involved in
celebrating his life in this way and is a very fitting way to
open our 50 th Anniversary celebrations at Borderway.”
Top Price at the 50 th Anniversary Sale was Jalex Superb. Born Nov21 by
Derrygullinane Kingbull, he sold at 26,000gns to Mr G Cameron, Acharacle, Argyll.
Trueman Serenata followed at 22,000gns, also taking the top female price for the
day. By Telfers Munster she sold to Mr AJ Ewing, Dumbretton, Dumfies.
