bulls prove popular with
commercial buyers at the
Brecon Auction Mart
On Saturday 12 th November
2022 the Brecon Auction
Mart achieved a top price of
6,000gns and an average of £4,222.50
with many bulls being snapped up
by local commercial buyers.
Killerton Soliver 6,000gns Reserve Senior Champion
Reserve Senior Male Champion
Killerton Soliver took the top price for
the day selling for 6,000gns, brought
forward by Mr & Mrs P W & S M
Greed, Columbjohn Farm Ltd, Devon.
Soliver won Best Bull Born 2021 in
the South West Limousin Club Herd
Competition 2022 and The All Breeds
Young Bull of the Year competition
at Agrifest South West 2022. Born
February 2021, he has double F94L
myostatin and a Beef Value of LM52,
which is in the top 1% of the breed.
He has a short journey home to
LLanddew with this new owners J E &
C Price, Oaklands Farm.
Nealford Shearer, presented by Mr
J H Neale and Son, Wilkie Down,
Cornwall won Junior Male Champion
and Overall Male Champion in the
pre-sale show, and sold for 5,000gns
to W C R Cooke and Sons, Nantyderi
Farm, Abergavenny. Shearer has
double F94L myostatin and an
impressive Beef Value of LM54, which
is also in the top 1% of the breed.
