GOLDEN CELEBRATIONS

Additional Awards on the Day

In further awards on the day, Cai Edwards of the

Pencraig herd, Denbighshire won the Young Handlers’

competition. This was kindly judged by Mrs Judy Dodd of

the Redrock herd. Mrs Dodd had been observing entrants

over the two days of the show looking for skills in cattle

handling, show preparation and preparedness for beef

cattle classes. Pictured is Cai with Mrs Dodd receiving his

£50 prize.

At 6000gns followed Goldies Sunshine. A Sept12-born heifer by Ampertaine

Opportunity, she headed home to Lancashire and the Cornfield herd of Mrs S Field,

Burnley.

In a further success for the Alexander family, Jalex Supreme also sold for 6000gns

to Mr S Wilson of the Impulsive herd, Carlisle. Born Nov21, she is sired by

Derrygullinane Kingbull.

Throughout the two days of showing, the pedigree

show cattle were penned according to their region and

the Regional Clubs prepared a stand to represent the

breeders within their area. Mrs Dodd’s judging skills were

called upon a further time when this was judged across

both days in conjunction with a Tidy Lines competition.

Congratulations to the hard work of the Scottish Club

who eventually came out on top. Pictured are Andrew

Gammie (Club Chairman), Stephanie Dick (Vice

Chairman) and Aileen Ritchie (Secretary) receiving the

Bill Callion trophy for Tidy Lines from Mrs Dodd.

Petteril Sunshine didn't have far to travel to her new home with Messrs R & JP

Mulholland of the Liscon herd, Carlisle. Mar12-born by Goldies Jackpot, she sold for
