REGIONAL CLUBS

Scottish

Limousin Cattle Club

Chairman Stephanie Dick reports…

2022 was a very busy year with all the summers shows

and events back to normal.

The Highland Show was the first on our calendar. A

great success with a fantastic turnout of quality cattle

ably judged by member Mike Massie of the Elrick herd.

With Club members enjoying a lot of success during the

week a big thank you must go to everyone who brought

cattle out not only at the Highland but throughout the

summer. Showing is not a cheap hobby but the quality

of cattle on show and the numbers forward is a credit to

everyone and will keep the Limousin breed to the fore.

Then was the British Limousin 50 th Anniversary

celebrations at Carlisle. A very well organised event and

once again the Scottish club coming home with various

top prizes not only in the Pedigree section but also in

the Commercial cattle section. We also managed to win

the tidy lines trophy at the show with the committee

putting in so much work and preparation at home prior

to the event to make our Club stand pen stand out from

the rest. However, once we got to the market everyone

chipped in and helped and it was a real team effort from

pouring teas and coffee to picking up a brush, it was

great to see a strong team effort from the whole club.

First year of the Wattie Ritchie perpetual trophy

donated to the overall champion of the Grand Prix.

Best club stand at 50 th anniversary.

Overall champion - Burnbank RubyTuesday at the Scottish Limousin Grand Prix.

Reserve overall champion - Brockhurst Howzat at the Scottish Limousin Grand Prix.
