Elite Show and Sale
Following hot on the heels of the excitement in Carlisle was an Elite Show and Sale of Pedigree
Limousins in celebration of the 50 th Anniversary in Northern Ireland. Hosted by the Northern
Ireland Limousin Cattle Club, it was held in the third week of August with judge Craig Ridley, the
Society’s Honorary President, undertaking the judging duties.

50 TH ANNIVERSARY
Judge for the day, Craig Ridley, Haltcliffe Herd & BLCS Hon President.
The Overall Champion in the pre-sale show as Jalex Resta, a Sept20 born heifer by Trueman
Natkingcole. Selling at 12,000gns she was purchased by Mr O Miskelly, Ballynahinch, Co Down.
The Top Price at the NI Limousin Cattle Club 50 th Anniversary Sale
was Ampertaine Sherry. In a busy day buying for Mr Miskelly this
Nov21-born heifer by Ampertaine Elgin sold for 22,000gns and
headed home with Jalex Resta to Ballynahinch.
Buyer Mr Miskelly completed a hat trick in the form of Ronick Sopretty. Consigned by Mr T
Shields of the Glenmarshall herd, Co Down, Sopretty had been Junior Female Champion in the
pre-sale show. Born in Apr21 she is by Westpit Nando and also sold for 12,000gns.
