Mohammad Medan bin Abdullah, a Malaysian aged 52, is a
Non-Independent Non-Executive Director. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from
University Malaya and has attended the Advanced Management Program
from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
He joined PETRONAS in 1982 and is currently the Senior General Manager of
Group Corporate Affairs Division, PETRONAS. Prior to assuming this position,
he held various senior positions in the PETRONAS Group such as the Managing
Director/Chief Executive Director of Malaysia LNG Sdn. Bhd., Senior General
Manager for Corporate Services Division of PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd., Senior
Manager of Group Tenders and Contracts of PETRONAS, General Counsel
for Petroleum Resources of E&P Business of PETRONAS, Senior Legal Counsel,
Legal Advisor for Baram Delta Operations, Legal Offi cer at the Legal Services
Department and Trainee Legal Offi cer at the Legal Services Department and
Executive Assistant to the President/Chief Executive Offi cer of PETRONAS.
He is a Board member of PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad and Bintulu Port Holdings
Berhad. He is also a member of the International Bar Association, a member
of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators, and the PETRONAS
representative in the World Economics Forum - Partnering Against Corruption
Initiative.
He was appointed to the Board of PETRONAS Gas Berhad on 1 November 2010
and has attended two Board meetings in the fi nancial year.
