alternatives for gas users in securing their
gas supply. TPA will also unearth latest gas
demand from industry players who have been
taking a backseat in demanding for gas due
to scarceness of molecules. With gas being
brought in by multiple shippers utilising the
PGU network under TPA, these players can
now come forward to procure more gas for
their business expansion, while at the same
time promoting utilisation of clean fuel for a
greener environment.
To ensure fairness to all parties, PGB has
developed a code of conduct which defi nes
a standard for behaviour and disclosure for
the provision of third party access to PGU gas
pipeline system in Peninsular Malaysia. This
code of conduct which is called ‘PGB Network
Code’ is designed to provide a clear third party
access regime through wide, transparent and
uniform principles.

The TPA initiative is a pro-active measure by
the Company in anticipation of the gas market
liberalisation by the Malaysian government.
When it takes place, PGB will gain fi rst mover
advantage to provide gas transportation
services to third parties.
