Sustainability - The PGB Way
As a responsible corporate citizen,
we continuously seek ways to contribute
to the communities wherever we operate.
After 27 years of existence, we at PETRONAS
Gas Berhad (PGB) have elevated our Corporate
Responsibility (CR) standards a few notches
up, and still counting. It’s all in the name of
living up to our vision as A World Class Gas &
Utilities Company.
As a responsible corporate citizen with an
expanding business portfolio, we continuously
seek ways to contribute to the communities
wherever we operate; ranging from local
communities, authorities, regulators, nongovernmental
organisations, shareholders
and our workforce.
People development remains at the forefront
of our CR approach with education being the
core element, driving most of the activities
conducted under the Company’s CR banner.
The goal is for benefi ciaries and participants
of these initiatives or activities to amass new
skills and build capabilities that will hopefully
enrich their lives and encourage them to
become better individuals in the long run.
Our fl agship Program Bakti Pendidikan
PETRONAS (PBPP) for example, is testimony
of our long-term engagement through
education. How this unique programme has
evolved over the years and how the Company
progressively, proactively and positively
contributes to children under this programme
are described in the upcoming pages.
Staff development via continuous learning,
upskilling and training is also central in the
Company’s CR approach. We are constantly
reshaping our workforce by helping them
realise their maximum potential capabilities
and talents by equipping them with all the
necessary knowledge, competency tools and
know-how to adapt to the ever changing
trends in a very dynamic and competitive
industry.
Innovation among staff continues to be
highly encouraged, to generate new ideas
or initiatives which can help the Company
grow, as well as optimise whatever available
resources possible.

Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) culture
is fi rmly embedded among us at PGB.
HSE practices of the highest order are naturally
and faithfully observed by us. We dare not
think otherwise.
