is evidenced by securing the top spot for
Corporate Reputation in Malaysia for 2010
ranked by the Wall Street Journal. In addition,
we were ranked No. 9 for Quality and No.10
for Financial Reputation. Overall, PGB was
ranked at No.8 by the magazine.
The Company further demonstrated its
commitment to good corporate governance
by emerging as recipient of the Merit Awards
for `Enterprise Governance’ and `Best Return
to Shareholders’ categories by Malaysian
Business-CIMA Enterprise Governance
Awards 2010.

corporate reporting has also been accredited
the Industry Excellence Awards for exemplary
performance in the Industrial Products &

Our products are our facilities and utilities we
offer. We are committed to ensure our facilities
are operating reliably. Our commitment
to exceptional operational standards is a
continuous process that forms part of our
corporate culture.
Our facilities; gas processing plants and
pipeline network, are of world class
operational standards. Reliability for sales gas,
ethane, propane and butane for the fi nancial
year are at 99.9%, 98.8%, 98.7% and 98.7%
respectively. PGB’s gas transmission business

through the Company’s peninsular pipeline
network continues to maintain remarkable
system reliability of 99.97% for the year,
ensuring secure and continuous fl ow of gas
to end customers throughout Malaysia. Plant
reliability for our utilities business for electricity,
steam and industrial gases of 99.5%, 99.5%
and 99.6% respectively, are of exceptional
performance levels as well.
FULFILLING OUR DUTY TO
CONTRIBUTE TO THE NATION
As at 28 February 2011, gas contributes to
half of the Malaysian power generation mix,
indicating the nation’s high dependency on
gas supply. To address the critical energy
needs of the nation, PGB is embarking on the
development of Liquefi ed Natural Gas (LNG)
regasifi cation facilities in the vicinity of Sungai
Udang Port, Melaka. The LNG regassifi cation
facilities will enable Malaysia to take in more
gas supply from abroad to be piped to the
existing Peninsular Gas Utilisation system for
end-users.
