Art
Acrylics, Watercolour & Drawing for Children
instructor: Sara Gagnon
Location: Kinsmen Media Centre
Whether you are a beginner or continuing student you will love learning
the basics of painting with watercolour and acrylics. in addition you
will learn techniques that will make drawing what you see easier than
ever before. this new art class will give you the tools needed to excel in
the arts. Through the program you will complete 7 new paintings. Cost

Acrylic Painting

Location: Parkinson recreation Centre, Art room
Learn to use the materials in a painterly way with concentration on
developing individual expression. Composition and drawing will be
studied before we begin to paint our subject matter in gestural brush
strokes. Participants are required to purchase the following materials:
brushes - 1’ - 1/8’, tubes of colors - red, blue, yellow, green, white,
umber, ochre. Participants bring their own supplies. It is recommended
that participants purchase their supplies after the first class.

Cardmaking - Mother & Daughter
instructor: Heather Painchaud
Take the time to enrich a child’s life by introducing them to the art of
card making. Mother and daughter will create six handcrafted cards.
Techniques will include stamping, embossing and embellishing.

Drawing & Painting from nature

Location: Cedar Creek Centre, Meeting room
Learn to draw and paint nature with emphasis on using the mind’s eye
to put on paper what you see. Working with pencil and/or watercolour
you can become the wildlife artist you always wanted to be. For
experienced or beginner students who want to learn how to draw from
nature. All supplies included.

Drawing and Painting Animals

Learn to deal with animal drawings. You will practice animal proportions
based on geometrical forms and will learn about types of patterns and

Drawing Course -
Persective, Landscapes, Still Life
instructor: elizabeth Dyczkowski
Location: Parkinson recreation Centre, Art room
students will learn about the landscape and prosective principles. You
will practice 1, 2, 3, point prospective, aerial, perspective, overlapping
perspective and isometric projection. still life drawings will focus on
flowers, fruits and rose arrangements. A supply fee of $12.00 is due to
the instructor at the first class.

Sculpture

A study of sculpture in 2D & 3D a focus on portrait and animal image.
students will be using self-hardening clay to fashion their sculpture
and acrylics to paint them. A supply fee of $20.00 is payable to the
instructor at the first class.
