Location: Parkinson recreation Centre, Macintosh room<br />

blending the principles <strong>of</strong> Fitness and Strength with the stress relief <strong>of</strong><br />

Yoga, this class will allow participants to strengthen, stretch and relax,<br />

all in 60 minutes! Many <strong>of</strong> us incorporate walking or biking into our<br />

routines. this class will round out your program and provide additional<br />

strategies for stress release! Making use <strong>of</strong> fitness tools such as<br />

stability balls, weights and bands, you are sure to strengthen not only<br />

your muscles, but your mind/body connection. Taught by a certified<br />

personal trainer/yoga teacher. Drop in fee $8.50 if space available. Free<br />

Zumba is a Latin-inspired, dance-fitness class that incorporates<br />

international music and dance movements. the class format combines<br />

fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body in an aerobic/<br />

fitness fashion to achieve a unique blended balance <strong>of</strong> cardio and<br />

muscle-toning benefits. The steps are easy-to-follow in a party-like<br />

atmosphere. Dance to a mixture <strong>of</strong> salsa, meringue, cumbia, cha cha,<br />

samba, flamenco, reggae, belly dancing, African and other rhythms<br />

that naturally motivate you to move.<br />

no other you have experienced! The routines feature interval training<br />

sessions with fast and slow steps, with varied rhythms and intensity,<br />

you choose. Good for the body the brain and suitable for any fitness<br />

and/or dance level. It’s a Zumba Party! bring hand towel, water and<br />

wear supportive non-grip sneakers.<br />

Same Latin rhythm, same basic Zumba moves using 1 pound Zumba<br />

toning Sticks. This party is sure to build muscle endurance, muscle<br />

strength and burn fat, all done while toning your arms, abs, back and<br />

legs. If you have tried Zumba but haven’t tried the toning aspect, I<br />

invite you to come give it a try! Zumba Toning Sticks available for<br />

purchase; or bring your own 1 pound weights only please. Wear<br />

non-grip sneakers, bring water and a towel. ‘Let’s get fit, stay<br />

fit and have fun doing it’! Drop in fee is $8.50 if space available.<br />

qi Gong consists <strong>of</strong> gentle, relaxing exercises which are usually<br />

practiced standing, but can also be done in a sitting position.<br />

Originating in China, qi Gong movements are easy to follow and<br />

designed to improve the flow <strong>of</strong> energy (qi) in the body as well as the<br />

mind providing positive benefits for your health and well-being. Dropin<br />

Learn Tai Chi Yang 108 Long Form. For centuries Tai Chi is a daily<br />

prescription for health and longevity. This classic Chinese method<br />

<strong>of</strong> exercise developed as a martial art is practiced today to improve<br />

relaxation, balance, flexibility, breathing, circulation and promote<br />

better health. The Chinese say that whoever practices Tai Chi will gain<br />

the pliability <strong>of</strong> a child, the health <strong>of</strong> a lumberjack and the peace <strong>of</strong> mind<br />

<strong>of</strong> a sage. Join us for a fun and enjoyable experience and learn what tai<br />

Chi can do for you. qi Gong (Chee Gung ) exercise, the foundation <strong>of</strong> Tai<br />

principles <strong>of</strong> this ancient Martial Art form and health system will be<br />

coordination, developing equilibrium with firm rooting <strong>of</strong> the feet,<br />

unity <strong>of</strong> movement, relaxation, being centered and extending Chi. by<br />

learning and practicing Tai Chi you will strengthen and rejuvenate the<br />

body internally, and enjoy a happier and more peaceful life. Come for a<br />

fun and enjoyable experience and learn what Tai Chi can do for you! qi<br />
