The City annually dedicates just over $2 million in grants and operating support for cultural facilities and organizations. Through the efforts of these groups, along with many individuals and businesses, residents and visitors have access to a wealth of options ranging from drop-in drawing classes to front row seats for a performance by internationally acclaimed artists. Building on decades of cultural investment, the City has a new 5-year Cultural Plan which will seed new ideas and initiatives for cultural growth. Through the fulfillment of the Plan’s 10 goals, culture will contribute to a community that is thriving, engaging, and inspiring. This compact, walkable area is just north of downtown Kelowna and is home to major cultural facilities and over a third of the city’s public art collection.
