Creating Beauty Girls Club<br />

Come enjoy dance, music, crafts, art, fashion, simple cooking, tea<br />

parties, field trips and girl talks in a sisterhood! This is a fun and<br />

creative activity group supporting life-bringing values to build longterm<br />

friendships and encourage each girl to find their strengths and<br />

shine in a safe environment under mentorship.<br />

Youth will learn skills and strategies that can be used when they find<br />

themselves at home alone. this program is a must before your child<br />

starts coming home alone after school or staying at home in the<br />

evenings. basic expectations and rules, safety, emergency procedures,<br />

effective use <strong>of</strong> time, coping strategies and children’s accountability<br />

are just some <strong>of</strong> the topics that will be covered. Parents are required to<br />

attend the last hour <strong>of</strong> class. A pizza lunch will be provided for weekend<br />

course.<br />

Robotics class, or have worked with Lego Robotics NXT educator<br />

in teams with the help <strong>of</strong> a parent, invent a robot with various sensors<br />

and program it to detect obstacles, sounds and motion. Learn problem<br />

solving, cooperation, strategies, computer-based programming,<br />

building and presenting skills. This class is perfect for any parent &<br />

child who have never built with the Lego NXT Robotics system.<br />
