Kelowna’s culture is a unique blend of
urban sophistication, a stunning natural
landscape and an agricultural history.
The City annually dedicates just over $2 million in grants and
operating support for cultural facilities and organizations.
Through the efforts of these groups, along with many individuals
and businesses, residents and visitors have access to a wealth of
options ranging from drop-in drawing classes to front row seats
for a performance by internationally acclaimed artists.
Building on decades of cultural investment, the City has a new
5-year Cultural Plan which will seed new ideas and initiatives for
cultural growth. Through the fulfillment of the Plan’s 10 goals,
culture will contribute to a community that is thriving, engaging,

The Cultural District is the City’s cultural hub. This compact,
walkable area is just north of downtown Kelowna and is home
to major cultural facilities and over a third of the city’s public
art collection. All of the facilities provide programs for all ages,
and also offer rental spaces for your events:
