had been severely damaged by fire but <strong>the</strong> slipway underneath was undamaged.<br />
Henry Harris<strong>on</strong> submitted a planning applicati<strong>on</strong> to retain <strong>the</strong> covered slipway and to<br />
c<strong>on</strong>struct business units and a manager’s flat within <strong>the</strong> site that is located between<br />
Eel Pie Slipways and Eel Pie <str<strong>on</strong>g>Boatyard</str<strong>on</strong>g>.<br />
LB Richm<strong>on</strong>d was c<strong>on</strong>cerned about <strong>the</strong> practicality <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> arrangements to maintain<br />
boat repair facilities <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> site and commissi<strong>on</strong>ed Adams Hendry to review <strong>the</strong><br />
planning applicati<strong>on</strong>. Adams Hendry advises modificati<strong>on</strong>s to ensure that <strong>the</strong> full<br />

applicati<strong>on</strong> but later took enforcement acti<strong>on</strong> because <strong>the</strong> developer had inserted a<br />
beam across <strong>the</strong> slipway that reduced <strong>the</strong> effective length <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g> <strong>the</strong> operati<strong>on</strong>al slipway.<br />
