Comments (2007) General Marine operate a fleet <strong>of</strong> tugs used for towage on the River Thames . The Ferry End site is still shown as one <strong>of</strong> their two operating bases on the company’s website. Thames Strategy East has in Guidance RG.32 “Investigate opportunities to reinstate boat repair and maintenance operations at Ferry End Marine slipway on the Isle <strong>of</strong> Dogs.” This implies that the facilities are no longer operational.
