vvvSetup and Operation7. De-energize main AC power and control power. Reconnect actuating signal wires to terminals A1 and A2.Unit is now ready.8. Energize main AC power and control power. Initiate start by actuating pilot device(s). Check for proper operationand desired starting performance. Verify proper motor rotation; if required, reverse rotation by interchangingmotor leads. Adjust potentiometers per Section 7.6.EnglishL1L2L3PEM1Q2IIL1 L2 L3PEG13RW34T1 T2 T3W2W1V2U1U2V1INote:The phase sequence should bechanged on the line side.Changing the phase sequence on themotor side can cause faults.NSB01351Fig. 21 : Phase exchange for Inside Delta circuit7.6 Motor Starting AdjustmentsWARNINGHazardous voltage. Can cause death, serious injury, orproperty damage. To avoid electrical shock or burn, turn off main andcontrol voltages between starts when makingadjustments.Observe the motor during the first trial starts. With the setup controls adjusted as described in Section 7.3 and softstarter LED 1 on, start the motor.Initial Voltage U. Ideally, the motor begins to rotate almost immediately after the starting voltage is applied to it andthe load begins to move. If the motor fails to start rotating when the starting voltage is applied, increase the Upotentiometer setting. If the motor accelerates too quickly, decrease the U setting. Repeat trial starts until the loadjust begins to move when power is first applied.DANGERFrequency of starting:Keep cooling time in mind!Start the motor. If more or less torque is required to start the driven machine, switch off the line voltage and turn thepotentiometer for the initial voltage in the right direction until the driven machine starts to rotate when power is firstapplied. Two or three attempts may be necessary to set the correct initial voltage.Additional initial voltage may be needed if motor is subject to starting load variance such as stiff belts or cold grease. All changes to potentiometers do not take effect until the device is switched off.22 3ZX1012-0RW34-1AN1
