<strong>NTN</strong><br />
Les tableaux 13.5 <strong>et</strong> 13.6 donnent les compositions<br />
chimiques des différentes matières de cage.<br />
Des cages spéciales sont utilisées pour les roulements<br />
aéronautiques (réacteurs). Ces matières sont<br />
souvent plaquées avec de l’argent afin d’améliorer les<br />
caractéristiques lubrifiantes.<br />
Les cages en matière synthétique injectée sont<br />
utilisées de plus en plus fréquemment. Elles sont<br />
généralement en polyamide renforcé de fibres de verre.<br />
Elles sont très légères, résistantes à la corrosion, <strong>et</strong><br />
possèdent de bonnes propriétés de frottement, d’élasticité<br />
<strong>et</strong> de lubrification. Des résines polyamide résistant à<br />
la chaleur perm<strong>et</strong>tent la production de cages<br />
pouvant fonctionner à des températures comprises<br />
entre –40 <strong>et</strong> –120°C. Cependant, elles ne sont pas<br />
conseillées pour des utilisations à des températures<br />
dépassant 120°C.<br />
