Partie D : Discussion - Conclusion généraleNos résultats montrent que la biomasse <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> microorganismes, bactéries et champignons,<strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> agrégats racinaires augmentent significativement en présence <strong>de</strong> <strong>ver</strong>s. L’activité <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> <strong>ver</strong>s<strong>de</strong> <strong>terre</strong> peut disperser et/ou stimuler <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> microorganismes bénéfiques. En effet, <strong>les</strong>microorganismes ont une très faible mobilité dans <strong>les</strong> sols, <strong>les</strong> <strong>ver</strong>s par leur activité <strong>de</strong>bioturbation peuvent mettre <strong>les</strong> microorganismes telluriques en contact avec <strong>de</strong> nouvel<strong>les</strong>ressources qui contribuent à leur essor. La rhizosphère, <strong>de</strong> taille accrue en présence <strong>de</strong> <strong>ver</strong>s,fournit une <strong>sur</strong>face <strong>de</strong> développement plus importante pour la microfaune et la microflorerhizosphériques.tel-00486649, <strong>ver</strong>sion 1 - 26 May 2010Si nous n’avons pas pu mettre en évi<strong>de</strong>nce <strong>de</strong> différences structura<strong>les</strong> <strong>de</strong> noscommunautés bactériennes par <strong>les</strong> analyses en « fingerprint », l’analyse <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> profilsphysiologiques par plaques BIOLOG met en évi<strong>de</strong>nce que la présence du <strong>ver</strong> augmente ladi<strong>ver</strong>sité fonctionnelle bactérienne. En ce qui concerne <strong>les</strong> communautés fongiques unemodification <strong>de</strong> leur structure taxonomique a par contre clairement été montrée. Les <strong>ver</strong>s <strong>de</strong><strong>terre</strong> en consommant sélectivement certains microorganismes peuvent modifier l’équilibreentre <strong>les</strong> différentes espèces <strong>de</strong> microorganismes. Mais, on peut aussi considérer qu’enagissant <strong>sur</strong> la croissance <strong>de</strong> la <strong>plante</strong> et ses capacités <strong>de</strong> phytoremédiation, <strong>les</strong> <strong>ver</strong>s <strong>de</strong> <strong>terre</strong>modifient la nature <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> exsudats racinaires et donc <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> communautés fonctionnel<strong>les</strong>,bactérienne ou fongique, qui y sont associées (Jakobsen et Rosendahl, 1990 ; Han et al.,2005). A l’in<strong>ver</strong>se, l’action <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> <strong>ver</strong>s <strong>sur</strong> la croissance <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> <strong>plante</strong>s peut aussi résulter d’uneaugmentation <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> bactéries phytostimulantes, qui modifient l’allocation <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> ressources aux<strong>plante</strong>s et facilitent leur développement. En effet, certains microorganismes sécrètent <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong>phytohormones ou <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> composés <strong>de</strong> structure similaire qui agissent d’une part <strong>sur</strong> la biomassevégétale et d’autre part, en réduisant <strong>les</strong> effets toxiques <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> métaux vis-à-vis <strong>de</strong> la <strong>plante</strong>,permettent une phytoextraction plus rapi<strong>de</strong> et plus efficace. C’est le cas en particulier <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong>bactéries PGPB et <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> champignons producteurs <strong>de</strong> métallothionéine (MT) (Grandlic et al.,2009 ; Ma et al., 2009 ; Glick et al., 1998).En conclusion, Lantana camara présente une forte tolérance au plomb et <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> capacitéssérieuses <strong>de</strong> phytoextraction. Le <strong>ver</strong>, Pontoscolex corethrurus présente lui aussi une bonnetolérance au Pb et agit positivement <strong>sur</strong> la croissance et <strong>les</strong> capacités <strong>de</strong> phytoextraction <strong>de</strong> L.camara. L’association du <strong>ver</strong> Pontoscolex corethrurus et <strong>de</strong> la <strong>plante</strong> Lantana camara a doncun potentiel considérable pour le traitement <strong>de</strong> zones polluées au plomb.120
Partie D : Discussion - Conclusion généraleS’il a été clairement montré au cours <strong>de</strong> ce travail que l’impact <strong>de</strong> P. corethrurus <strong>sur</strong> L.camara est lié aux modifications quantitatives et qualitatives <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> communautés <strong>de</strong>microrganismes telluriques, il est difficile encore <strong>de</strong> déterminer le rôle et <strong>sur</strong>tout le sensd’action <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> <strong>de</strong>ux partenaires.En perspective, afin <strong>de</strong> préciser <strong>les</strong> mécanismes mis en jeu, un certain nombre <strong>de</strong>travaux complémentaires nous paraissent essentiels à réaliser :(1) Tout d’abord, notre expérimentation a été effectuée dans <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> volumes <strong>de</strong> sol réduitet <strong>sur</strong> <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> temps limités, une expérimentation <strong>de</strong> terrain en vraie gran<strong>de</strong>ur doitmaintenant être envisagée.tel-00486649, <strong>ver</strong>sion 1 - 26 May 2010(2) Le dosage du Pb n’a été réalisé que dans <strong>les</strong> différentes parties <strong>de</strong> la <strong>plante</strong>, uneanalyse comparative <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> teneurs en Pb <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> différents types d’agrégats et du sol nonremanié <strong>de</strong>vrait nous permettre <strong>de</strong> préciser le rôle <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> <strong>ver</strong>s <strong>sur</strong> la biodisponibilité du Pbdans le sol.(3) Les différentes techniques utilisées pour l’étu<strong>de</strong> <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> communautés <strong>de</strong>microorganismes présentent chacune <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> limites. L’utilisation <strong>de</strong> nouvel<strong>les</strong> approchesmoléculaires comme la PCR en temps réel ou <strong>les</strong> techniques ciblant l’ARN pourraientnous apporter <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> renseignements <strong>sur</strong> la succession <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> modifications fonctionnel<strong>les</strong> <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong>communautés bactériennes. Une étu<strong>de</strong> moléculaire, utilisant <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> amorces spécifiquesciblant <strong>les</strong> groupes bactériens connus comme phytostimulant, <strong>de</strong>vrait également êtremise en œuvre.(4) Comprendre <strong>les</strong> adaptations métaboliques <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> L. camara soumis aux Pb et aux <strong>ver</strong>sest essentiel c’est pourquoi, en parallèle <strong>de</strong> notre travail, <strong><strong>de</strong>s</strong> recherches enécophysiologie classique et moléculaire sont actuellement en cours afin d’optimiserl’efficacité <strong>de</strong> l’association L. camara et P. corethrurus pour la dépollution <strong>de</strong> sitesindustriels.121
