9.30/16.30; dal 3 ottobre solo domenica e festivi dalle ore
9.30 alle ore 16.30. Il rapporto tra l’uomo e il mare caratterizza
tutti i percorsi dell’Acquario. Collegamenti “sotterranei”, veri e
propri laboratori sottomarini, conducono i visitatori in un
viaggio davvero coinvolgente, mirato alla conoscenza e al
rispetto dell’ecosistema marino, offrendo il massimo delle
emozioni e del divertimento a tutte le fasce di età. Il fiore
all’occhiello dell’Acquario è rappresentato dalle esperienze
interattive con gli squali. Si tratta della vasca tattile, dove oltre
20 esemplari di Dasyatis o Trigoni viola, (squali piatti) si
avvicinano ai bordi della vasca per lasciarsi accarezzare, e del
“Faccia a faccia” con gli squali, l’esclusiva possibilità di
immergersi (su prenotazione o tramite sorteggio) nella grande
vasca degli squali. I percorsi dell’Acquario sono caratterizzati
da 70 vasche espositive che ospitano oltre 3000 esemplari di
400 specie dai mari di tutto il mondo.
Novità 2009: è nato il primo Asilo per le tartarughe marine, un
ambiente protetto che potrà garantire a giovani tartarughe, un
periodo di convalescenza prima di essere reintrodotte in libertà.

The Aquarium’s central theme is the relationship between
man and the sea. “Underground” links, real underwater
laboratories, enable visitors to make an extremely interesting
journey, aimed at becoming better acquainted with and
increasing respect for the marine ecosystem, with lots of
excitement and fun for all ages. The major attraction of the
Aquarium is represented by the interactive experiences with
sharks. In the touch pool over 20 specimens of Dasyatis or
Pelagic Stingray, (flat sharks) swim up close to the edge of
the pool to let themselves be stroked, and then there is the
“Face to face” with the sharks, a unique chance to swim (after
booking or by means of a draw) in the large shark pool. The
Aquarium offers 70 show tanks containing over 3000
specimens of 400 species from the seas of the world. New for
2009: the first Nursery has been set up for turtles. A
