L’ 826 si inserisce in una variante tipologica presente da secoli nella storia del casalingo: quella
dei cestini a filo in metallo. E’ stato il primo oggetto nato dalla ricerca tecnologica sul filo di
metallo piegato condotta dall’ufficio tecnico interno nella seconda metà degli anni ’40, e ha
originato una piccola famiglia di cestini dall’approccio molto basic e tuttora di grande successo.
The 826 comes as a variation on an age-old theme in the history of household products: that
of the metal wire basket. This was the first object to emerge from research by the internal
engineering department into wire-bending technology, in the late 40s. It led to the creation of
a small family of baskets with very basic design which, even today, still reaps enormous success.
