About the Student Daniel is a thinker. At home, he mainly speaks English even though his mother speaks Chinese. Daniel is somewhat reserved about expressing himself in front of others, but he harbors a wealth of fascinating ideas that find their way into his writing. He approaches his assignments with great attention to detail, and I'm delighted to see him consistently experiment with new ideas in his writing. For this particular assignment, he wasn't confined by the provided words. Instead, he pushed the boundaries and chose to write about an underground subway. Despite not knowing how to write "subway" ( 地铁 ) in Chinese, he cleverly added the description " 大大的 " (meaning "big") to assist his readers in understanding. This level of creativity is remarkable for a 5-year-old boy. Assignment Guidelines (Instructor: Angie Chien-Fu 简信华 ) 1. 请用以下学过的字来造两个短句 ( 大中小上下里 / 木水火土山石田天车 / 人猫狗牛羊马鱼兔鸟鸡 )。 2. 请练习使用句型 : “…… 有 ……” (“ 哪里有什么 ” 例如 : 山上有羊 ) 3. 请在旁边画出你造的句子 , 并涂上颜色。 Judge’s Comment (by Mandy Fong 方林淑华 ) • 写作内容 : 本篇是幼儿园的短句写作练习。学生根据老师的要求来造句。 • 段落 : 这是一篇初级的作品 , 因此没有段落。 • 词汇和语法 : 学生套用老师提供的单词来组句。但从介词和形容词的使用 , 可以看出学生在所造的短句中融入了自己的想法 , 并且掌握了正确的语法结构。 • 文体 : 记叙文 • 句子结构 : 用简单词汇组成的短句。 • 所含信息 : 学生在短句书写中 , 很特别的选择了 “ 上 ” 和 “ 下 ” 的对仗。并且用了两种不同的交通工具来呈现 “ 上 ” 和 “ 下 ” 的有趣对比。改进、提高意见 : 此篇作品不仅满足了老师的要求 , 学生使用的词汇和语法也是正确无误。令人难以想象这是出于一个五岁孩子的手笔。建议老师可以使用学生已经造好的两个句子 , 练习用其他的单词来替代。一方面制造趣味 , 另一方面也让同学有更多的机会练习造句。
