About the Student
Maya is an eight-year-old second grader who loves to read books, create illustrations from stories,
and make short comics. She started learning Chinese at a very young age and also enjoys singing
Chinese songs. Additionally, she is fascinated by other aspects of Chinese culture, such as using
traditional Chinese painting techniques in her artwork.
Assignment Guidelines (Instructor: Yun Hsuan Huang 黄 韻 璇 )
The assignment was for students to use their creative freedom to write a story, with the assistance
of a dictionary for unknown vocabulary.

• 段 落 : 用 三 小 段 写 了 小 猫 在 海 边 发 生 的 事 情 。
• 词 汇 和 语 法 : 用 词 很 准 确 。 比 如 :“ 小 猫 认 为 她 认 识 海 里 的 每 一 个 活 的 贝 壳 。” 里 的
“ 认 为 ” 和 “ 每 一 个 ”。“ 小 猫 哭 着 说 ” 里 的 “ 着 ” 用 得 非 常 准 确 , 描 述 小 猫 知 道 最 后 一 个
原 来 是 “ 蛤 蜊 ” 的 一 个 状 态 。

• 句 子 结 构 : 句 子 比 较 准 确 。
