In this exciting documentary, Ryan Reynolds guides us to a thousand-year-old
rainforest, the dwelling of the rare white baribal
bear, or as some call it, the bear ghost.
An evergreen forest, rivers filled with salmon, and a white bear that
seems to have lost its way—such scenes can be found in the great
bear rainforest. It is not as large as other rainforests but is a species-rich
area and stage to many animal dramas from which mainly
bears are closely studied by the local human community. The home
of the bear ghost and all of those who live there, too, is dutifully
taken care of by the indigenous descendants who try to preserve
this seaside kingdom for future generations. This is not easy to do
in today’s unstable environment, but the bear ghost lives on, and
along with it, hope.
