za pomoci hnojiv a pesticidů. Žádní ptáci v korunách stromů,
žádní živočichové v půdě.
Režisér François-Xavier Drouet pozorně ohledává logiku a principy
moderního průmyslového lesnictví a jeho alternativ a natáčí pestrou
směsici lidí spjatých s francouzskými lesy, jejichž argumenty
skládají mozaiku současného stavu. Lesní hospodářství se dnes
často řídí intenzivním zemědělským modelem – standardizovaný
les je tichý, světlý, suchý a stromy v něm rostou na porážku a čekají
na příjezd moderních strojů. Může být tradiční správa lesa a know
how udržitelného lesnictví tímto způsobem nahrazeno?
French forests are going through an unprecedented phase of
industrialization. Powerful machines plough through them and
monocultures are cultivated with the help of fertilizers and pesticides.
No birds in the treetops, no animals in the soil.
Director François-Xavier Drouet carefully examines the logic and
principles of modern industrial forestry and its alternatives, and
interviews a diverse mix of people connected to French forests,
whose arguments put together the mosaic of the current state.
Today, forestry is often governed by an intensive agricultural model
– the standardized forest is quiet, light, dry and the trees in it grow
only to be felled and wait for the arrival of modern machines. Can
traditional forest management and the know-how of sustainable
forestry be replaced in this way?
