dopis pro svoji čtyřletou dceru. Coby otce ho trápí, v jakém stavu
necháváme planetu pro budoucí generace. V průběhu cesty po
celém světě představuje již existující projekty snažící se o záchranu
naší planety. Překvapivě povzbudivý snímek kombinující rozhovory,
animaci a hrané sekvence ukazuje, že řešení pro záchranu Země
nejsou otázkou budoucnosti, ale přítomnosti. A pokud se alespoň
některými z nich budeme řídit, rok 2040 by mohl vypadat docela
hezky.
When you look at the current condition of Earth, it is hard not to
become helpless and sceptical. However, the solutions that would
provide a better future for our children already exist.
Director Damon Gameau brings us the documentary 2040 as
an audiovisual letter for his 4-year-old daughter. As a father, he is
troubled by the way we have left Earth for future generations. In
the course of his journey around the world, he introduces existing
projects that aim to save our planet. The surprisingly encouraging
film combines interviews, animations, and acting sequences and
shows that the solutions for saving Earth are not a matter of future,
but of present. And if we follow these solutions, the year of 2040
could look quite nice.
