Mythos Krupp<br />
Die Villa Hügel diente von 1873<br />
bis 1945 der Industriellenfamilie<br />
Krupp als Wohnsitz und Repräsentationsort<br />
des Unternehmens. Das<br />
Große Haus war einst Hauptwohngebäude<br />
der Familie und beherbergt<br />
heute die Kulturstiftung<br />
Ruhr. Hier werden regelmäßig<br />
auch große, überregionale Kunstausstellungen<br />
gezeigt. Im Kleinen<br />
Haus informiert die »Historische<br />
Ausstellung Krupp« über die<br />
Geschichte der Familie und des<br />
Unternehmens sowie die Förderaktivitäten<br />
der Alfried Krupp von<br />
Bohlen und Halbach-Stiftung, die<br />
auch Eigentümerin der Villa ist.<br />
Die repräsentative Parkanlage lädt<br />
zu einem Spaziergang und zum<br />
Verweilen ein.<br />

The Krupp mythology<br />
From 1873 to 1945 the Villa Hügel<br />
was the seat of the Krupp family<br />
and the representative building<br />
of their industrial firm. The Large<br />
House was once the family home.<br />
It now houses the Ruhr Cultural<br />
Foundation and is used for major<br />
international art shows. The Small<br />
House has an exhibition on the<br />
history of the Krupp family and<br />
business, including the activities of<br />
the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und<br />
Halbach Foundation, which is also<br />
the owner of the Villa. The spacious<br />
grounds are an ideal place in which<br />
