Grantparent program. In the ten years since
Grantparent tuition assistance began, 401
students have been sponsored with tuition
assistance.
Staff
Rachel Klitzing, Executive Director of School
Ministries; Kim Violette, Administrative
Assistant; Ellen Pratt, Part-Time Assistant;
Anna Preus, Part-time Assistant; Paul Brandt,
Part-Time School Consultant; and Lynne Rose,
Part-Time Early Childhood Consultant provide
leadership and support to congregational and
school professional workers and lay leaders.
These services include prayer support;
leadership to cabinets, task forces, and
committees; guidance and consulting;
resources and referrals; personnel assistance
and call lists; newsletter writing and
distribution (E-Connect and Connections);
support for administrators and teachers
through personal visitations, phone contacts,
mailings, e-mail, the Lutheran School Portal,
and School Ministries website
(www.pswcic.org); and representing district
Lutheran schools with other educational and
government entities, i.e. LEA, CAPSO, etc. In
the past two years, a concentrated effort on
communication has focused on the rebuilding
of our School Ministries website as a hub for
communication as well as the creation and
distribution of a weekly electronic newsletter
(E-Connect). Both of these tools have
strategically increased the communication of
our mission and vision to our schools,
educators, boards, pastors and lay leaders.
As School Consultant for Strategic Planning
and Marketing, Paul Brandt brings expertise
and experience to assist our schools in
developing a strategic plan, marketing plan,
and where needed, a business plan. Paul also
leads School Board Training Workshops
regionally each year. These workshops have
been very well received with well over 75 in
SCHOOL MINISTRIES
attendance. As Early Childhood Consultant,
Lynne Rose contributes her experience and
expertise to strengthen our preschools and
Early Childhood Centers.
God has truly blessed the District with
outstanding educators and leaders!
