CONFERENCE-01<br />
To Provide For District President’s Report<br />
At District Pastors’ Conference<br />
WHEREAS, the Pacific Southwest District of<br />
the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod has<br />
articulated the mission to effectively resource<br />
congregations to fulfill the Great<br />
Commission, and<br />
WHEREAS, the District President is the<br />
elected leader of the District, and<br />
WHEREAS, the clergy are supported and<br />
directed by the District President as their<br />
ecclesiastical supervisor, and<br />
WHEREAS, the annual Pacific Southwest<br />
District Pastors’ Conference is the largest<br />
gathering of District clergy, who are<br />
enthusiastic, supportive and interested in the<br />
work of the District, therefore<br />
BE IT RESOLVED, that no less than one<br />
hour on the first full morning of the first full<br />
day of the Conference be set aside for the<br />
District President's Report; and<br />
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that each<br />
clergyman be encouraged to participate in this<br />
presentation; and<br />
Be it Finally Resolved, that the pastors of the<br />
Pacific Southwest District give thanks to God<br />
for the ministry that we share together.<br />

CONFERENCE-02<br />
To Provide For District Treasurer’s<br />
Report At District Pastors’ Conference<br />
WHEREAS, the mission of the Pacific<br />
Southwest District is to effectively resource<br />
congregations to fulfill the Great<br />
Commission, and<br />
WHEREAS, each congregation is encouraged<br />
to contribute generously toward the ministry<br />
of the Pacific Southwest District, and<br />
Whereas, transparency and openness are<br />
foundational for both ongoing support and<br />
Biblical Leadership;<br />
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the<br />
District Treasurer give a report with written<br />
documentation, including identification of<br />
variance to budget and related analysis and<br />
correction action plan, as well as a<br />
presentation regarding current budget, at<br />
each Pacific Southwest District Pastors’<br />
Conference, and<br />
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the<br />
District Treasurer provide the abovereferenced<br />
reports that are delivered to every<br />
congregation no later than sixty calendar days<br />
after the close of the District’s fiscal year, and<br />
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that each<br />
congregation be encouraged to greater<br />
financial commitment in support of the<br />
Pacific Southwest District, and<br />
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that we give<br />
thanks to God for our leaders and the<br />
ministry we share in the Pacific Southwest<br />
District.<br />
