CONFERENCE-01
To Provide For District President’s Report
At District Pastors’ Conference
WHEREAS, the Pacific Southwest District of
the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod has
articulated the mission to effectively resource
congregations to fulfill the Great
Commission, and
WHEREAS, the District President is the
elected leader of the District, and
WHEREAS, the clergy are supported and
directed by the District President as their
ecclesiastical supervisor, and
WHEREAS, the annual Pacific Southwest
District Pastors’ Conference is the largest
gathering of District clergy, who are
enthusiastic, supportive and interested in the
work of the District, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, that no less than one
hour on the first full morning of the first full
day of the Conference be set aside for the
District President's Report; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that each
clergyman be encouraged to participate in this
presentation; and
Be it Finally Resolved, that the pastors of the
Pacific Southwest District give thanks to God
for the ministry that we share together.

To Provide For District Treasurer’s
Report At District Pastors’ Conference
WHEREAS, the mission of the Pacific
Southwest District is to effectively resource
congregations to fulfill the Great
Commission, and
WHEREAS, each congregation is encouraged
to contribute generously toward the ministry
of the Pacific Southwest District, and
Whereas, transparency and openness are
foundational for both ongoing support and
Biblical Leadership;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the
District Treasurer give a report with written
documentation, including identification of
variance to budget and related analysis and
correction action plan, as well as a
presentation regarding current budget, at
each Pacific Southwest District Pastors’
Conference, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the
District Treasurer provide the abovereferenced
reports that are delivered to every
congregation no later than sixty calendar days
after the close of the District’s fiscal year, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that each
congregation be encouraged to greater
financial commitment in support of the
Pacific Southwest District, and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that we give
thanks to God for our leaders and the
ministry we share in the Pacific Southwest
District.
