PROCLAIMING THE MYSTERIES OF GOD PROCLAIMING THE MYSTERIES OF GOD Proclaiming the Mysteries of God is the theme for the 2012 Pacific Southwest District Convention, based on the following bible passages: 1 Corinthians 15:50-51 I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom, not does the perishable inherit the imperishable. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed Ephesians 3:1-6 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles—assuming that you have heard of the stewardship of God’s grace which was given to me for you, how the mystery was made known to me by revelation, “as I have written briefly. When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to hid holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit. The mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ through the gospel. Colossians 1:24-27 Now I now rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I am filling up what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions, for the sake of his body, that is, the church, of which I have become a minister according to the stewardship from God that has been given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known, the mystery hidden for ages and generations but revealed to his saints. To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 1
