Who’s Who Candidate Profiles
CA Grad School of Theology, Bethesda, Chr. Univ; Member Floor Committee, LCMS, 1998;
Delegate LCMS Convention 2004.
My Vision for the ministry of the PSW: Responsible, faithful service to PSD churches and schools
under the mission banner of “Clear Witness and Caring Service” (Ephesians 4).
Rev. Eric V. Kaelberer
Home Congregation: Grace Evangelical Lutheran, Rialto, CA
Occupation: Pastor
Experience Pertinent to Position: Graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne;
Served at Cross of Christ, Bountiful, Utah from 1985-1989; Served on the Rocky Mountain District
Committee on Campus Ministry – 1986-1988; entered the PSW taking a call to Immanuel Lutheran
Church and School in Orange where I served until June 2000. At that time I accepted the call to
Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rialto; Circuit Counselor 2006-present.
My Vision for the ministry of the PSW: I am not actively seeking to serve as a Regional VP in our
District. I am honored that my name was given. If in the wisdom of God as expressed by the
delegates at the District Convention you would select me to serve in this role, I would work to the
best of my abilities to serve the congregations of Region 3. The Sweet Gospel of Jesus Christ and
His crucified for sinners is uppermost in my ministry and has been in my role as Circuit Counselor. I
see the District as I see the Office of Holy Ministry in the Congregation, a role of Service (diakonia).
We have many challenges before us as a Church Body and a District. These challenges need far
more than a hand-full of men and women at the District Office to be involved. The prayers and
council of every congregation is needed. I am not seeking nor asking for this office. Others are no
doubt better qualified than i. I let my name stand in the same way that I would never “outright”
decline a Divine Call. God will bless our District and our Region 3 with the right man for this task.
God keep you, deer delegates. In Christ’s Holy Name.
Rev. Timothy M. Klinkenberg
Home Congregation: St. John’s Lutheran, Orange, CA
Occupation: Senior Pastor
Experience Pertinent to Position: I have served at St. John’s for 18 years,
the last 12 as Senior Pastor. I have served on the PSW Board of Directors.
Currently serve as circuit counselor. I have served as a coach in the
community of Orange and love working with young people.
My Vision for the ministry of the PSW: The District Vice President
should work with the congregations and their pastors to support and
encourage them toward the proclamation of the gospel and mercy toward
people both in the congregation and community.
