• If copper <strong>PROFINET</strong> cables are<br />
laid in the same trench as other<br />
categories of cable, observe the<br />
clearances as per Table 3. You<br />
can, <strong>for</strong> example, use bricks as<br />
spacers. Because fiber optic<br />
cables are immune to<br />
interference pickup, these can be<br />
laid next to other categories of<br />
cable without problems.<br />
Laying <strong>PROFINET</strong> cables<br />
Watch out <strong>for</strong> hints to other cables or devices (e.g. cable warning<br />
tape) when digging a trench. Damage to other cables or devices (e.g.<br />
power cables, gas pipes) may not only result in material damage, but<br />
also endangers persons’ life <strong>and</strong> health.<br />
