<strong>Fen</strong> grazing is, in most cases, likely to be considerably cheaper than re-instating<br />

mowing and burning of the cut material over large areas (estimated at ca. £1,600<br />

per ha of fen mown). The cost of the grazing project has been covered by the<br />

£150/ha annual ESA payment for fen management.<br />
