Shrub<strong>by</strong> fig to 15-30 ft with a reputation for being, well, rather prolific. Large yellowish green fruit with very<br />
sweet white centers in summer to fall. Full sun. Don't be afraid to put those pruners to use on this one. Hardy<br />
to 0F. <strong>USDA</strong> <strong>zone</strong> 7.<br />

Rare native <strong>of</strong> China and Vietnam, this form collected <strong>by</strong> Dan Hinkley, a tree to 75 to 100 ft tall or so in its<br />
native habitat, in cultivation reaching 25 ft in a re<strong>as</strong>onable amount <strong>of</strong> time. This member <strong>of</strong> the cypress<br />
family h<strong>as</strong> lovely sprays <strong>of</strong> red-tinted foliage, <strong>of</strong>ten silvery underneath. A pretty addition to any moist<br />
situation with carefully drainage in dappled light to full sun. Not to be missed. Frost hardy in <strong>USDA</strong> <strong>zone</strong> 7.<br />

From a wild collection in the mountains <strong>of</strong> Afghanistan, this drought tolerant ground covering strawberry<br />
produces small, ple<strong>as</strong>ing berries colored an ochre yellow. The flavor is almost like...Hmmmm...Banan<strong>as</strong>!<br />
Treat like other strawberries and grow in part shade to full sun with occ<strong>as</strong>ional summer water where dry.<br />
Frost hardy to <strong>USDA</strong> <strong>zone</strong> 7, possibly lower.<br />

Interesting, tall-growing fuchsia with reddish stems, glossy green leaves, and an abundance <strong>of</strong> 3” hanging<br />
flowers <strong>of</strong> cerise and purple. Where temperatures remain above 15F, it can be used to clamber up a shrub or a<br />
trellis; or it can be sited where its long arching branches will get all the attention. Sun to shade in rich soil with<br />
regular water. One <strong>of</strong> the hardiest <strong>of</strong> the species Fuchsia, should resprout from 0F. <strong>USDA</strong> <strong>zone</strong> 7. Far superior<br />
to Fuchsia twodoorsedanii.<br />
