Release Status
Specify the status associated with this release category and sequence. This is a ten
character alphanumeric user-defined field.
Status Description
Use this field to include a narrative about the release status. This is a 30 character
alphanumeric field.
Allow Software Changes
Controls whether software can be promoted into the environment attached to the
product version.
Y The release is “Open” and software can be promoted into the environments
attached to the product version.
N The release is “Closed” and software is prevented from promotion into the
environments attached to the product version. However, promotion requests
can be created and promoted when a release is later opened. This is the
default value.
Allow Create Package
Controls whether software packages can be created. A package contains the software
items required to upgrade a product version from a prior release to the current
release.
Y Software packages can be created for this release category and sequence.
N Software packages can not be created. This is the default value.
Allow Controlled Distribution
Controls whether the release is available for selection to send to a customer system.
Y The release is available for selection and can be sent to a customer.
N The release is not available for selection and currently can not be sent to a
customer. This is the default value.
Allow Distribute Changes
Determines whether this release is the most current default release available that can
be sent to a customer system.
Y This is the most current release available to send to a customer. Also allows
for distribution of changes to occur.
N This is not the most current release to send to the customer and does not
allow for distribution of changes. This is the default value.
