5. On the Check Out main panel, press ENTER to verify the entries. The
following message displays:
“Press F9=Accept to check out.”
6. Press F9=Accept to check out the entity and redisplay the Work with
Entity List Members selection panel.
Notice that the Disp field on the Work with Entity list panel is now set
to 2, indicating that the entity is checked out.
7. Press F3=Exit to redisplay the Basic Functions panel.
Building the Entity List in SDM-DesignTracker
You can create the entities by building the entity list in SDM-DesignTracker, then
selecting any specific entity with option 9 to check out through SDM-Implementer.
Building the Entity List Using Abstract/Probe
From the Work with Entity List Members panel, press F17=Abstract/Probe+, and use
option IS, IC, or IR.
Building the Entity List Using Hawkeye
From the Work with Entity List Members panel, press F18=Hawkeye/Pathfinder, and
use option IS, IC, or IR.
Working With Entities - Creating an Entity List
This option is used by developers or project leaders to create a list of entities
(programs, files, data areas, job descriptions, and so forth.) that are related to the
implementation of the design request.
Entity lists are used by SDM-DesignTracker to indicate the objects that will be
changed.
This is a required task if you are using SDM-DesignTracker for checking out objects.
A Project leader or developer typically performs this task when a design request is
created or needs to be changed.
The following steps must be completed prior to using this option:
Setup must be complete.
If you are using SDM-Implementer for check out, you must create a
project through SDM-Implementer.
The design request must be approved before check out.
