BEST PRACTICES <strong>2012</strong><br />

The Justice Department Library, in conjunction with the Law Library of Congress,<br />

hosted the Federal Law Librarians’ Conference on May 9 th -11 th . The conference<br />

provided both training and professional development opportunities <strong>for</strong> federal<br />

library professionals and included opportunities to hear from, and speak to, law<br />

librarians and library staff members from federal executive, legislative and judiciary<br />

libraries. Speakers included: Roberta Shaffer (Associate Librarian <strong>for</strong> Library<br />

Services, Library of Congress), David Ferreiro (Archivist of the United States, U.S.<br />

National Archives and Records Administration), and Edwin S. Kneedler (Deputy<br />

Solicitor General, U.S. Department of Justice).<br />
