9.1.7 How to Select Alarm Hysteresis ON/OFF<br />

The alarm hysteresis is the difference between the levels of alarm occurence and reset.<br />

You can choose between two levels of hysteresis: 0% (=OFF) and approx. 0.5% of the<br />

recording span (=ON) (common for all alarms).<br />

The inititial value is ‘ON’.<br />

SETTING PROCEDURE:<br />

Enter the SET UP Mode by turning ‘ON’ the power while pressing and holding the<br />

ENT-key until the SET UP display appears.<br />

Use the UP/DOWN-keys to select the display ‘SETUP=ALARM’. Press the ENT-key.<br />

Press the ENT-key until the display ‘ALM_HYS=ON’ appears. Select ON or OFF.<br />

After selection, press the ENT-key. The display ‘*ALARM SET*’ will appear.<br />

The alarm hysteresis setting has been completed, but has not been stored yet. You can<br />

now adjust other settings in the SET UP Mode, by using the ESC-key.<br />

Before leaving the SET UP Mode, you have to store your new settings. Press the ESCkey<br />

to return to the ‘SETUP=ALARM’ display and then select the ‘SETUP=END’<br />

display.<br />

Press the ENT-key. Select ‘END=STORE’ to keep your new settings or<br />

‘END=ABORT’ and press the ENT-key. After a few seconds, the Operation Mode will<br />

appear.<br />

NOTE Hysteresis setting is only valid for High and Low alarms. Hysteresis setting for rate-ofchange<br />

alarms and difference alarms will be ignored.<br />
