Roger Calow is head of the Water Policy Programme of the Overseas<br />

Development Institute and an honorary research associate at the British<br />

Geological Survey. He has over 20 years of experience lead<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>ternational<br />

research and development projects <strong>in</strong> Africa, Asia, and the Middle<br />

East, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g two years as director of the RiPPLE program <strong>in</strong> <strong>Ethiopia</strong>,<br />

build<strong>in</strong>g local capacity for the design, implementation, and management<br />

of rural water supply and sanitation services. He leads an <strong>in</strong>terdiscipl<strong>in</strong>ary<br />

team of eight staff members work<strong>in</strong>g on water supply and sanitation, climate<br />

change and water security, water resources management, and the<br />

political economy of sector reform.<br />

Piers Cross is a lead<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>ternational spokesperson and strategist <strong>in</strong> water<br />

supply and sanitation. A South African with a background <strong>in</strong> social<br />

anthropology and public health, he worked for the World Bank Water<br />

and Sanitation Program for over 20 years, hold<strong>in</strong>g the positions of Global<br />

Program Manager and Pr<strong>in</strong>cipal Regional Team Leaders for South Asia<br />

and Africa. He was the found<strong>in</strong>g chief executive officer of the Mvula<br />

Trust and cofounder of the Water Integrity Network, and he is now a<br />

lead<strong>in</strong>g voice <strong>in</strong> the Sanitation and Water for All alliance. He advises<br />

lead<strong>in</strong>g sector agencies.<br />

Kate Dalrymple is a land adm<strong>in</strong>istration specialist with extensive<br />

research and consultancy experience <strong>in</strong> land policy, community engagement,<br />

and program implementation of land reform projects. After complet<strong>in</strong>g<br />

her Ph.D. <strong>in</strong> tenure security for poverty alleviation, she jo<strong>in</strong>ed<br />

Land Equity International as a senior land consultant. She has experience<br />

<strong>in</strong> Asia, Africa, and the Pacific, where she worked on assignments <strong>in</strong><br />

land titl<strong>in</strong>g, regularization, <strong>in</strong>stitutional modernization, land policy, and<br />

program design. In addition, she played a key role <strong>in</strong> manag<strong>in</strong>g and contribut<strong>in</strong>g<br />

to the pilot and ongo<strong>in</strong>g implementation of the Land<br />

Governance Assessment Framework.<br />

Hamish Goldie-Scot is a cofounder of the U.K. Anti-<strong>Corruption</strong> Forum<br />

and author of the paper “<strong>Corruption</strong> <strong>in</strong> Construction <strong>in</strong> Develop<strong>in</strong>g<br />

Countries,” published <strong>in</strong> 2008 by the U.K. Institution of Civil Eng<strong>in</strong>eers.<br />

A former volunteer teacher, he has s<strong>in</strong>ce 1980 worked as a civil eng<strong>in</strong>eer
