6. Omkarnath – (Udgeethi Pranaynath). To inhale and<br />
exhale with the sound of “Om”. Lips open, close lips<br />
while pronouncing “m”. In this om is long and m<br />
short. It the enchant of om is around us it will be<br />
beneficial to us. This is the only pranayam in which<br />
we exhale though mouth. In all of the others we<br />
exhale by nose.<br />
7. Ujjai – Follow Gyan Mudra.<br />
1 st Part – to produce a sound by inhaling at the joint<br />
of throat and palate. By this the vishudh chakra will<br />
be aroused and will cure thyroid and hormonal<br />
imbalance.<br />
2 nd Part - (Kanthnad) Look towards sky with neck up,<br />
there will be pressure on neck, utter ‘Om’, Lips will<br />
be closed. Follow gyan mudra. Benefits same like<br />
ujjai. This Pranayam brings the state of absence of<br />
egotism.<br />
8. Karn Peedantak- Inhale, close both the nostrils<br />
with right hand, fill mouth with air. Pressurize with<br />
breath on both the jaws towards ears. Improve ENT<br />
system. Maintain balance between mind, heart.<br />
After performing Pranayam of mental and physical<br />
body, different ‘Aasan’ can be done according to<br />
your comfort.
