There is not a big list of Shri Ramji’s friend in Ram
CharitManas, but who so ever is God’s friend is peculiar, Nishad,
kewat, Sugreev Vibhishan all are indifferent but are Shri Ram’s
intimate friend.
Now a days there are no Childhood friends . The Childhood
passes in a pressure and have no time to make friends. But friends to
share enjoyment and splendor are present.
What is ‘friendship’ ? Shri Ramji has expressed the whole
philosophy. Ramji says to Sugreev :-
“Jena ……………………………………………..Durawa.
Those who do not feel the pain, in friend’s pain, to see such
people is a great sin. He says we should assume our sorrow (big as
mountain) like a particle of dust and friend’s sorrow (small as dust
particle) big as mountain like sumeroo.
“Jena………………………………………………………Durawa.
Those who do not have such knowledge by nature why do they
make friends deliberately ? It is friend’s duty to take his friend to the
right path, express his qualities and hide his drawbacks.
“Det let ………………………………………………..Guneha”.
There must be no confusions during any sort of help and must
help according to his ability.
In the times of need and crisis should take extra care and give
lot of love, Ved says, this are quality of good friends.

Those who praises in front and criticize at back and have
prejudice in heart, whose heart is curved like snakes motion, we must
leave such friends for our good sake.

Foolish servant, miser king, corrupt lady and unfaithful friend
all these are pain staking like thorns. Oh friend ! leave all your
worries, have faith in my strength . I will help you by all means.
How a friend takes liberty form his friend can be seen is a
conversation between Ram and Sugreev . Sugreev says :-
