The old hermitage priest sent ten celibates. After six month the
message came that one celibate has reached.
Everybody wondered, they asked for one, we sent ten but
reached only one, how come. The devotees of the old ashram asked
the priest, the mystery. What he told is of great use.
When these ten started and reached the border of a state next
day, the ministers of the state came and said. “Our king is dead and
the astrologer has said who so ever comes first to the state border,
make him king.” He requested one of them to be the king .
One of them thought, “it’s not bad to be a king. I can lead the
life of a priest being a king” and accepted to be king.
Next day remaining nine reached other state border . Their also
ministers came and said. “our king has a daughter, the astrologer has
told her to marry the man who comes first to border and he will be
king also.” Again a celibate thought it’s not bad to be a king after
marrying. Discipline can also be adopted in household and stopped
there.
Remaining moved further, reached a village. The people their
said, we have started many institutions like hospital, orphanage,
School etc and need a priest for management. One of you take care of
this responsibility. One of them thought, “I have to do all this only in
further life, do why not stay here,” he stopped their.
Like this some incidents occurred and at last only two were left.
When they reach a village, villagers say that in our village only
few are atheist all others are anatheists, so you please stay here, if you
will teach them, they will become atheist. Again one out of the two
thought, “how so ever struggle occur, I will make each and every
person of the village an atheist, we are celibate only for this reason.”
And at last the last one reached the new hermitage, the news of whose
arrival reached old hermitage.
Since then it is said, “ten starts but only one reaches.” Before
entering Sunder Kand we will have to understand the philosophy
behind this. Crores of people have gone through Sunder Kand, but
have not reached, where they should have reached. Couplets were
