Be sure to equalize electrical potential “Ground” wherever appropriate.

All notifications have been made.
Site is secure.
Ensure the blasting machine is with the downrange team.
Test the firing cable for continuity and short the wires or clips.
Barricade the electrical blasting caps (EBCS).
Remove the shunt on an EBC.
Facing away from the barricade, test the ccmtinuity of the EBC with a galvanometers.
Replace the shunt or short the EBC.
Repeat steps F, G, and H for the second EBC.
Recheck the firing cable to ensure the cable is shorted.
Make a parallel or series circuit, as appropriate, and connect the leg wires of the
EBCS to the firing cable.
Connect the EBCS to the main charge as appropriate.
Using binoculars, ensure the area is clear and blow the air or vehicle horn three
times.
Fire the charge.
Conduct a destruction site inspection.
