the project to constantly keep informed all partners about the project progress.<br />

Many challenges, so as: narrow watergaps, fuel section with 8 size plate roll-swaged, ….<br />

were achieved before starting the final step of the program.<br />

5. Conclusion<br />

From the early start up of the project, close collaboration between CEA, AREVA-TA and<br />

AREVA-CERCA was carried out to give chance to succeed for the fuel element<br />

manufacturing development. Despite of the difficulties inherent to this type of project,<br />

technical options were discussed and solutions were validated together, always keeping in<br />

mind the final target of the project: to design an efficient and durable fuel for JHR reactor.<br />
