The fundamental text of Italian legislation concerning medicinal and aromatic plants (MAPs)
is still the Royal Decree (R.D.) no. 772 of 1932, in which a list of MAPs is reported and where
the maximum quantity allowed to be harvested, upon authorization, is indicated (Table 1).
