I N T RO D U C T I O N T O T H E B O O K O F Z O H A R<br />

1 – I come <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> realization <strong>of</strong> evil;<br />

2 – I remain empty, perform Tzimtzum Aleph.<br />

The person must go through <strong>the</strong>se stages. Resurrection <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> dead<br />

should take place in him after he executed Tzimtzum and obtained <strong>the</strong><br />

screen.<br />

Let us read it again.<br />

Fifth Inquiry refers <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> “resurrection <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> dead”.<br />

Since <strong>the</strong> body is so despicable, it is doomed <strong>to</strong> perish and <strong>to</strong> be<br />

buried.<br />

This includes a complete realization <strong>of</strong> evil, <strong>of</strong> my primordial egoistical<br />

desires.<br />

Why <strong>the</strong>n does <strong>the</strong> body return and rise at <strong>the</strong> “resurrection <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

dead” (after I buried it and it remained empty)? Could <strong>the</strong> Crea<strong>to</strong>r<br />

not delight <strong>the</strong> souls without it?<br />

No, He cannot.<br />

Fur<strong>the</strong>rmore, <strong>the</strong> <strong>Zohar</strong> says that before <strong>the</strong> body rots entirely (until all <strong>of</strong><br />

my desires die and rot in <strong>the</strong> ground), <strong>the</strong> soul cannot ascend <strong>to</strong> its place in<br />

Heaven, while <strong>the</strong>re are still remnants <strong>of</strong> it (I will not be able <strong>to</strong> fill myself<br />

with <strong>the</strong> light).<br />

Even more bewildering is what our sages said <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> dead bodies that<br />

are destined <strong>to</strong> rise with <strong>the</strong>ir flaws...<br />

Why should I revive all <strong>of</strong> my negative desires? This seemingly returns<br />

me <strong>to</strong> my negative properties.<br />

... so that <strong>the</strong>y will not be mistaken for o<strong>the</strong>rs. I should admit that all <strong>of</strong><br />

<strong>the</strong>m are my natural properties.<br />

The Crea<strong>to</strong>r will <strong>the</strong>n cure <strong>the</strong>ir flaws. I should realize that I would<br />

never be able <strong>to</strong> cure <strong>the</strong>se flaws by myself. They can only be cured if I<br />

realize <strong>the</strong>m as evil and ask <strong>the</strong> Crea<strong>to</strong>r for a remedy.<br />
