P R E FAC E T O T H E B O O K O F Z O H A R<br />

“The <strong>Book</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Zohar</strong>” always speaks about a practical application<br />

<strong>of</strong> everything that we study. It only deals with what is attained in man’s<br />

Soul, which exists, acts, rules and facilitates man’s correction, but never<br />

speaks <strong>of</strong> anything abstract.<br />

Consequently, our approach <strong>to</strong> “The <strong>Zohar</strong>” should be purely<br />

practical. We should dispose ourselves so that <strong>the</strong> light it emanates can<br />

clearly indicate what we need <strong>to</strong> correct.<br />

The essence and abstract form refer <strong>to</strong> what is above our correction.<br />

We will attain it as well, but later on, after <strong>the</strong> Final Correction;<br />

hence “The <strong>Book</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Zohar</strong>” does not speak about it. Nei<strong>the</strong>r does it<br />

mention <strong>the</strong> Worlds <strong>of</strong> Infinity and Atzilut, where we ascend after <strong>the</strong><br />

Final Correction. This is not our current task.<br />

Our mission is <strong>to</strong> go through 6000 years (levels) <strong>of</strong> correction;<br />

<strong>the</strong>refore “The <strong>Zohar</strong>” speaks only about this process. It describes me<br />

and, through me, <strong>the</strong> World <strong>of</strong> Infinity and Atzilut, dealing only with<br />

what concerns me in my matter and form. Nothing at all is said <strong>of</strong> what<br />

exists without being somehow connected with me.<br />

5. Third definition (limitation):<br />

In each <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Worlds <strong>of</strong> BYA, <strong>the</strong>re are three aspects:<br />

• Ten Sefirot,<br />

• The Souls, and<br />

• The rest <strong>of</strong> reality.<br />

The Ten Sefirot constitute <strong>the</strong> descending pure light in <strong>the</strong> form <strong>of</strong><br />

gradually diminishing emanations. Thus, <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> extent <strong>of</strong> our ability <strong>to</strong><br />

communicate with <strong>the</strong>se Ten Sefirot, we perceive <strong>the</strong> light.<br />

The Souls dressed on <strong>the</strong>se Ten Sefirot exist within <strong>the</strong> reality that<br />

surrounds <strong>the</strong>m. This way, one element is inside ano<strong>the</strong>r. There are Souls<br />

<strong>of</strong> two kinds: Upper and human. At a later stage we will understand <strong>the</strong><br />

notion <strong>of</strong> “<strong>the</strong> Upper Souls.”<br />
