The word “ground” alludes <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> egoistical desire <strong>to</strong> receive pleasure,<br />

since it takes in, imbibes, absorbs, and decomposes all that enters<br />

in<strong>to</strong> it. On <strong>the</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r hand, if <strong>the</strong> ground (<strong>the</strong> property <strong>of</strong> reception) is<br />

combined with water (Bina – <strong>the</strong> property <strong>of</strong> bes<strong>to</strong>wal), and a grain is<br />

planted in<strong>to</strong> it, <strong>the</strong>se two properties can create <strong>the</strong> condition for <strong>the</strong><br />

emergence <strong>of</strong> a new life.<br />

Later we will be studying all <strong>the</strong>se spiritual roots and why our world<br />

is built this way because <strong>of</strong> it.<br />

The system <strong>of</strong> impure forces shall be eliminated from <strong>the</strong> earth (i.e.,<br />

<strong>the</strong> intention for one’s own sake will disappear from <strong>the</strong><br />

egoistical desire) and death shall cease forever (<br />

“death” means <strong>the</strong><br />

gap between <strong>the</strong> light and <strong>the</strong> desire <strong>to</strong> receive pleasure; and as<br />

soon as <strong>the</strong> light enters <strong>the</strong> desire <strong>to</strong> receive, it gains life).<br />

And all <strong>the</strong> work in <strong>the</strong> Torah and commandments (i.e., drawing<br />

<strong>the</strong> light, Torah comes from <strong>the</strong> word “Ohr”, “Ohra’a” –<br />

“<strong>the</strong> light”; a “commandment” means <strong>the</strong> correction <strong>of</strong> an<br />

egoistical desire) is given <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> world during 6000 years <strong>of</strong> its<br />

existence…<br />
