The above amendment will assist in the collection process at the end of the season and
decrease the amount of staff time expended contacting delinquent accounts. Setting
the April 30 th deadline will assist in the finalization of the next ice season’s schedule and
will expedite this annual process. Final ice agreements cannot be sent out until the
previous season’s ice rentals have been paid in full.
Staff recommends that the amended Policy #53 be approved as presented. Should this
amendment be approved, a copy of the amended policy will be sent to each of the Ice
Users Group along with a letter highlighting the actual addition to the policy. The letter
will also state that these are standard collections procedures.
